Measured 1/2", center to center. The rifle will do better. I just can't hold that good. This was off some foam yoga blocks....

Fine shooting. I’m amazed how well 99’s shoot. I have a 358F that will rag out a hole with 180 TTSX.

Put the sock/comb riser on for a better cheek weld. The stock is a bit low for a scope.

That’s a good looking rifle and shoots good too. I was looking on this site a while back reading all the information on the the model 99 ( just joined Friday). I hunted with a 99 in 250/3000 when I was a kid back in 1965 , my dad let my brother in law use it and I never saw it again. He later told me he sold it to one of his buddy’s for 50.00. I have wanted one ever since. I bought one about a year ago in 308 Winchester it shoot pretty good has a good trigger and don’t kick much. I would like to know what year it was made . It’s a DL model series A serial number A869634. It’s in excellent shape and will be taking it hunting this coming season

Savage may be able to help narrow that down.
