Basspro and Cabelas are selling them for $599. Just wondering if anyone has one or has had a chance to shoot one. Seems pretty cheap, which could be good or bad. Anyone have one?

I have the commander size model with factory Crimson Trace laser. While not the same model, mine also has an aluminum frame with at steel slide. It has been flawless, a great trigger right out of the box, quote accurate. I would expect the same from this one.

if you want a 1911, not a bad copy of one. I had one for a while, just pulled my pants down to much, I went to a P365.

I bought one of the 9mm versions a few months back. I love shooting it.
I can't give a lifetime reliability report, but so far so good.

I think I'm going to pick one up in a .45, just because. Seems like a good price and I'm sure my boy will enjoy putting rounds though it.

I don't have a whole lot of use for a 1911, but that price tempted me as well...

Can't imagine you'd ever have trouble getting your money back out of it.

This is the Crimson Carry II. It's the alloy frame with the steel slide, 4" barrel. I carried this gun for a number of years and also shot bowling pins with it (as a way to practice with my EDC). It has been perfectly reliable, and I love it. It's not my EDC anymore, but I still have it.

Well with Sportman's price match policy and they'll beat the competitors price by 5%, I helped myself to one this morning for $569. Should make for a fun gun at the range I hope.

If you ever decide to carry it you'll appreciate the alloy frame.

Hmmmm....... I might have to follow your lead. We have a Sportsmans here and I just turned my Kimber Classic Stainless into a 460 Rowland again. My only other 1911 is a Baer. Both are all steel and I don't mind carrying them at all, with a good belt. In fact I like it better than a lightweight that I sometimes forget is there. Yeah, that price is pretty tempting.

I picked up one in 9mm for my son so he could see if he liked it better than the 45ACP. It was a great gun for the $$ but my son like the 45ACP better so I just sold it.

We put about 150rds though it on Sunday, well I put maybe two mags through it and my son pretty much claimed it I think. Only one hiccup on the last round of the first mag. After that it ran perfectly and seems accurate though admittedly I'm not an experienced pistol shooter. Seems to be a keeper.
