There are many similarities to 1968-72, even down to a POTUS that was very effective, but not personally loved. As I recall, Nixon drubbed a liberal nincompoop named George McGorvern during re-election.

It might be a good idea to move to a formerly communist country that realizes how bad it was. This country doesn't seem able to learn from the mistakes of others. We seem determined to experience total socialism/communism with all its attendant ills ourselves. We are already halfway (or more)there.
