1960 Winchester 88 in 308 Win w/24" barrel and cut checkering. This one is as close to new as I have ever seen. No rust or freckling or even blue loss at the muzzle etc. Wood has nothing but the tiniest of handling marks. The action is nice and tight. I am the 2nd owner. The original owner bought it, slapped a Weaver scope on it, shot it less than 10 times and put it in the safe. Unfortunately he did not keep the box. It does have the Weaver scope base attached. It does have factory sling swivels. You would have to find one new in the box to do better. Amazing for a 60 year old rifle.
$1500 shipped from non ffl to ffl.
I can text or email photos to interested parties.

Beautiful! First hi-powered rifle I ever fired. My Dad has one of these pre-64 88s and they are much nicer than the later ones. If I had the cash, I'd spring for it just to have it. Here's a bump to the top for you!

It is the rifle length barrel. I may have erroneously assumed it was 24”.
Rifle is sold.

I was mistaken the rifle has not sold. Someone was speaking for one of my other rifles and I thought they meant this one.
