Does anyone know if either the new Razor HD LHT 3-15x42 or the Nightforce NXS 2.5-10x42 Compact scopes will fit on a Tikka T3 Lite using the 16Bore/Whittaker Modified Talley 30mm rings? I searched some via Google and couldn't find anything definitive about 42mm objectives fitting.

If they don't fit in the Modified Talley LWs, do they fit in the Werne Medium (14T) rings?

I would bet it’s real tight on the modified version.

I wouldn't doubt that. It currently is wearing a Leupold Vari-X III in 3.5-10x40 in Modified Talley Low LWs and there isn't much room between the bottom of the bell and the barrel. But there is some. I just don't know with 42mm bell and 30mm rings if it will fit. The lower I can get the scope without touching the better.

I had a 6x super sniper on mine with those rings. It was tight, but not a problem.

Thanks. That helps a lot since SWFAs are not known for being the most svelte scopes.

We have a SS 3x9 with Warne rings. It fits fine on our tikka.

That is a lot more room than I thought there would be even with the regular lows. I think the modified ones are somewhere between .100" and .080" lower (at least according to 16Bore's specs which he lists as .420" compared to the default Talley distance of .500" but in another place says it was .100" material removed). I would THINK a 42mm bell would fit just fine, but just wanted confirmation from anyone that has mounted either/both scopes to confirm it. Thank you for the picture. Dropping it .100" (or less) should make relatively no difference with the Nightforce it looks like. Would still leave enough room for flip-up caps if I so desired.

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.
