I purchased a Rem 783 308 win for my grandson and I’m not very keen on the molded in front sling swivel because my bipeds won’t fit it. Has anyone here removed and fixed with a normal sling swivel? I’m curious how/what you did

Not sure what kind of stock you have but if you can PM me with a pic I can help you out - have sling swivel studs, bushings, etc. to convert it - all gratis for youngsters

Be aware that many synthetic stocks don't do well with the
pressures of a bipod on them. Never messed with that gun,
And haven't had the problem with the one injection molded gun
I have used a bipod on, but I have seen the pics of broken stocks.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!
