See a good amount of Browning Citoris usually for under $2,000 on Guns International.
If you can be patient you might snag one for closer to $1,600.

Not a lot of choices in what you are looking for. I’ve had several Citori 16 ga and still have one. Hard to beat it for a 16 ga O/U. Look at gun broker also.

Something a little cheaper. I've heard varying reviews on the Savage 555 https://www.gunbroker.com/item/872326768

Is this to be used as a field gun, trap, etc? Do you need chokes?

I've had a Citori 16 since 2001. Worth every penny, buy once cry once.

I had a merkel, and still have an Austrian no name, think you would be happier if you will be walking with something similar over a citori because of weight,

Field gun, mainly a place holder in my 16ga collection. Don’t have one in an over under and don’t need a 2k dollar gun Wish the timing was right to buy the on that was listed here a few months ago I do check the auction sites, you don’t need reply if you don’t have one for sale

If just looking for a field gun, the old Marlin Model 90's are good for that
