Even though I'm not in a flood zone, anywhere near that kind of rain would have my season creek over the banks and threatening the property.
Hang tough you wet folks.
The desert is a true treasure for him who seeks refuge from men and the evil of men. In it is contentment In it is death and all you seek (Quoted from "The Bleeding of the Stone" Ibrahim Al-Koni)

Stay safe! Water sucks! Mother nature still is something that rhymes with clucking runt.
After the 2016 flood, we moved out of the 1000 year flood zone. Be a good neighbor and help with the clean-up. There were three men I had never seen before stopped and helped with the clean-up at my place. It made me vow to help whenever it happens around here. Thank GOD it hasn't happened on such a large scale since.

Build a man a fire and he’ll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he’ll be warm for the rest of his life.
St Croix County Sheriff on the news this am said 54 separate roads were closed. Hy63 north from Hy 12 is closed and may be that way for a few days. The water washed out most of a bridge and an elderly man from a town just NE didn't see it in time and his car got swept off and into the flood.. They couldn't get to him in time.. He's gone.. Six other motorists had to be rescued from standing on the roofs of their cars..
And it rained again last night... It's gotta stop at some point..
Ex- USN (SS) '66-'69 Pro-Constitution. LET'S GO BRANDON!!!
Lee, I saw your town on the news last night and the man they didn't get out. RIP to him. A horrible, horrible way to go.
My parents place flooded out in Duluth, in 2012 in the flood they had there along the St. Louis River. There are still some things that are not the same from the flood. You can still see many of the landslides that happened, and Hwy 23 is still not repaired like it should be by Jay Cooke State Park.
I'm sorry you're dealing with all of this stuff. If you need a hand, don't hesitate to drop a dime.
