Actually he beat her in the head with a hammer in the armory and then threw her in a large tough box, loaded the tough box in his vehicle and got her off post. Then called big Bertha for help disposing of the body by the river. Been a lot of bad things happen to soldiers over the years there at Hood.

Family members have been on TV videos showing understandable grief demanding thorough investigation/ownership by the Army/Ft. Hood. . I feel badly for those folks but, in actuality, most of such events are not really "military" matters - simply nasty crimes committed by nasty people involving someone in the military (victim or/and perp) and they happen as bad facts of everyday life - the military can do little to prevent and cannot take much responsibility.

There are some strange details about this case that need investigation and explaining.

I think another scumbag may be involved and possibly a coverup. She had reported harrasment problems or something and it's possible nothing was done about it.

The military is a microcosm of society at large. You have a similar ratio of good and bad, just like any other aspect of society. As you said, it’s understandable that the family wants closure through answers. Unfortunately sometimes bad things just happen.
