KAR 98 mauser that got customized by sako after Ww2 and sold in Px,s in the 50,s overseas in europe. Someone brought it back. I got it outta a pawn shop couple years ago. Probably some d bag pawned dead grampy,s rifle for some bar hopping and some meth..... Project rifle when I 1st got it. Accurate. Lightweight. Sexy...... Lol!!! My mod 70 ot6 aint seen the woodline since I got the 98.

Owned a Interarms Mark X in .243 back in the 80's. Wish I had it now for the action. Still have the nice Colt 1911 I traded for though.

An overriding sear trigger is one where the trigger releases the sear; allowing striker to override it.This is how virtually every modern bolt action trigger, since the Model 70, works. While I like the simple two-stage trigger for it's reliability, something like the Timney is preferred by most. GD

While I like the simple two-stage trigger for it's reliability, something like the Timney is preferred by most. GD Midsouth is down the road 3 miles. They got Timneys. All set at 3pds per their website. Steve at the counter will let me install one. See what it feels like compared to this original 2 stage. 74 some odd bucks and tax. Get bored someday soon roll on down with rifle broke down. Install it at the counter. Put the stock back on Check one out.

If you want some triggers to play with i have some 98 triggers laying around. Im cool man. Thanks. Got a gunsmith Im on pretty good terms with about 15 miles away. He has parts galore. Sure I could pick his brain also. His name is Hal Brinkley He seems to enjoy when I stop in and bring something in for his advice and know how. 84 yrs old. Never wants to charge me. But I stuff money in his shirt pocket and tell him the electricity aint free. Been looking at ebay And a buncha vids on aftermarket 98 triggerz Bold triggers look interesting also. Some fancy german named one Kippelfingeer SP??? Not a needed thing really. Just a thinking gathering info thing right now The mil 2 stage in it is good to go actually. Basically a day of contemplating keeping the 2 stage or going aftermarket. Got till mid oct to decide.... But I am gonna call the techs at timney and ask about compatibility with a buehler low position safety, which I dont see why it should not be.
