I have a model 870 slug gun that I had finished in Duracoat, but I think I want to have it Parkerized instead now. Anyone have any experience removing Duracoat, or know what is the best method?

You'll want clean, bare metal for the parker, so I'd disassemble everything and sandblast the metal. Then go straight into the Parkerizing.

Ok, sounds good. I think I'll let my gunsmith handle that, but at least it's good to know it can be done without too much trouble. Thanks
