Hahaha. Sorry, but you may want to reconsider the seriousness more than by just looking at the death stats. Look for $100,000 to $300,000 in medical expenses depending on many different factors.

I sure don't feel bad about killing copperheads if they are in or near the yard. Bandit got bitten about 3 1/2 years ago when he was too young to snake train. Both dogs are snake trained now. Coastal Plains. We have those orangeish colored ones like that one, and others can be brownish/tan.

I’ve killed 2 this year. I stepped on one in 68, sophomore in high school. Put's things in a new perspective....older mountain folk here call 'em highland moccasins. I haven't seen one in a couple of years, bunch of possums in the area, they love to eat 'em.

So as not to misunderstand, I brought up the Gadsden/Culpeper slogan because someone mentioned rattlers. I can't blame you for removing the copperhead from your living area.
That said, she was a bute. Most copperheads aren't so colorful and distinctive. One of the best looking North American snakes. Shame its not going to be tanned for a special holster or hat band. Yup. Things happened fast, do I didn’t think about skinning it😟
