I had season tickets to the Lions. Even though they sucked it was still fun going. Sometimes they would win, but not much.

Then kneeling started and I didn’t renew and I told them why. Then the kneeling went away, so I went to a Monday night game in Green Bay because my Uncle always wanted to go there and he is getting older.

Now, I am done forever with this black national anthem BS. They can suck it for good.

I wouldn't go if they paid me an hourly wage to sit through a game. I feel the same way these days about the NFL and NASCAR.

Went to a Kansas City BB game once for free. Would never pay that much again. A spectacle it was. Didn't appeal to me at all. 20 grand to sit thru all that multiple times? I might do it for that much, but it'd be a hard decision.

Y'all sure like spending other people's money for them lol.

I was not a season ticket holder. But have regularly gone to some Cavs games over the years. Went in February of this year. Probably the last one I'll go to.

Sickening.

I have not given a rat's ass about professional sports since I was a teenager. However, I did have one heck of a good time at O'Malleys Bar in Santa Barbara , iirc August of '98. I spent a hefty working class sum after finishing a class at Diving Systems International, to have a seat at the bar. Around 9ish that night , Jordan, Barkley, Richard Dent and their entourage came walking in. Everybody lit up and the doors were locked. A line to get in the bar stretched down the street. It was a blast , from what I remember. I had Sir Charles in stitches on the dancefloor!

Added that I was several years late in cancellation.
I loved going, had great seats, not much else to do on many cold winter nights.
I’m relieved and contented with my decision.
Don't blame you one bit..

I went to exactly TWO NBA games - with free tickets from a couple of banks I worked with at the time... I wouldn't go again - even if the tickets were free again..

Its going to require that one accept getting BLM/communism crammed down your throat to be a sports fan anymore. Kinda sucks what's left of the fun out of it for me.

Its going to be interesting to see what happens to college sports which rely so much on donations.

I have season tickets on the glass for college hockey. The university is trying to persuade me to donate my season ticket money as a "gift" if the season is cancelled. My other option is to use towards the 2021-2022 season. If I hadn't persisted with mediocre seats over the years to finally get choice seating, I'd probably bail quicker.

I grew up in a suburb of Boston, and was a lifelong Celtics fan. In 1986, the ownership of the Celtics went public, and my wife bought me 10 shares at $18.50 per share. In return I got an awesome stock certificate with my name imprinted on it and quarterly dividend checks. This went on from 1986 to 2002, when the Celtics went private again. I got a check for $210 to cash me out. Stock certificates are now worth $100-$150 on eBay, so it was a pretty solid investment. With all the BLM crap going on now, you couldn’t pay me to attend an NBA GAME.
