I recently bought some of that UV glue for tying flies. I was wondering if anyone has used it to repair blemishes on polyurethane stock finish. Seems like it would be just the thing.

Not the way to go... in fly tying use the finish remains soft and is generally coated with nail polish/head cement. Use plain old superglue. Go to a hobby shop and get some CA excelerent. "Hot Shot" is the brand I have used a ton of. It will cure the CA quickly and allow you to build up the patch in lifts (layers) and then file it down to flush. Buff the stock and wax it and you will have trouble finding the patch.

Thanks for the info. I may have some of that stuff around....if I can ever find it! I'm talking about small dings in a stock finish. It should work.

I will see if I have the nerve to try it on a good rifle! I'm afraid to mess the finish up. Thanks again for the info.

Best tip I can give you is to use a toothpick to transport the CA from a puddle and do not plan on filling the hole without a few layers,
