I’m going on a hog hunting trip next March and was wondering when flying(which is what I will be doing) what hardcase is best to transport rifles & a pistol to & from the hunt? What do you all use? I currently have a hard Plano gun case with eggshell foam in it.

This is what I have. I've got the Encore/AR case. You can fit a surprisingly good amount of stuff in it. It has memory foam, so you don't cut the foam. It molds itself around whatever you put in it. If you're hauling a lot of stuff, do yourself a favor and buy the one with wheels.

OP, your Plano should do fine if its still structurally sound. I used an old Outers aluminum case for decades till I decided I was killing myself without wheels. I went with the Pelican 1750. What a pleasure!

I used to use the hard sided golf bag travel case. Put the firearm in the middle and pack around it, worked great! I guess TSA doesn't allow them anymore.

Just make sure it’s lockable, and all latches are good, I almost missed a trip because of a bad latch.

When did they stop allowing that, always used the same. Worked great. Been about 3 years since I've flown with guns though.

Buddy of mine tried it last year. He said it created a huge headache! I haven't checked regs though, only going by what I was told. Been a while since I flew with firearms along.

I recently flew an used a SKB hard golf bag for my rifle and clothes no issue but paid $25 extra for the case when going...same airlines waved the fee when I returned. FWIW there were about 3dozen hard sided golf caddies on that flight.
