I never thought I'd say this but I think I want to buy a UTV. We've got a place now where my family would use it from time to time, on trails and roads around the Black Hills and I also would use it for hunting from time to time but not alot. I've looked a bit and have interest in the Kawasaki Teryx4 and the Honda 1000-5. I'd love to hear peoples thoughts on this. I can see times where four people would go for a day cruise in this and I can see times where I'd use it to get a deer or an elk out of somewhere.

A friend just bought a Polaris General 4 seater. Got to ride in it Sunday. Plenty of power and no problems doing 55 with 4 grown men in it. The Rockford Fosgate audio system doesn't hurt either.

Can't speak to the Kawasaki or Honda.

Mine an '18 Kawi LE4 pushing 4K miles

In those 4K miles.....twice I've had 4 people in it

Anyone I'm ridin with has their own machine

Now thinkin shoulda got the 2 seater...more bed space...tools..cooler..trunk etc

I use the back seat area for coolers...chairs...shovel etc

I did add a watertight Kawi trunk for stuff I want dry & dust free ($350)

Either way good with your choice....my Kawi has been trouble free & easy to service

Thanks, the TeryxLE is at the top of my list. Great local dealership and checks my boxes.

I have been doing a similar search.and finally decided on the Yamaha Wolverine X2 R-Spec. Since it is just the wife and I we decided on the two seater. It is a 850 CC engine and is governed for a max speed of 53 MPH. Really happy with it so for but more miles will tell.

If I hadn’t needed the dump bed and cargo room, the Wolverine xtr 4 seater was high on my list. Love that shaft drive and 6spd in the Honda, but the rear seats were too small.

That looks to be about same ground clearance as our Razor. For under $100, I added a 2" lift kit. It doesn't sound like much but it makes a lot of difference if you ride in rocks like we do. I don't know what kits area available for the Yamaha. Installation was under an hour on ours.

I've got a 2" CFM lift kit on my Rhino, it's held up well since I installed it about 5 years ago. I wouldn't go much over 2" with a stock machine, any higher and you'll run into cv and axles issues.

That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.
