So I stumbled upon a lefty remington 700 BDL LA and the store that I bought it from had no idea what cartridge it fired. Long story short I figured out that it is a 257 Roberts AI. Needless to say I now have a fun project to work on. I plan to give it the full Kampfeld treatment and I want to replace the stock to make this my main lightweight hunting rifle. I have looked at stocks online and have noticed the IOTA KRUX weighs in around 27oz which should be a lot lighter than the BDL stock that is on it now. Does anybody have any experience with these? As much as I like the look of the BDL, I really want this rifle to weigh around 7lbs scoped when all is said and done. All input is welcomed!
