I guess the title says it all...I have a Weaver Grand Slam fixed 4.75x40mm scope in excellent condition with box, papers and Butler Creek lens caps that I am thinking of selling. I have tried to check online, but they are pretty scarce. What should I be asking for it? Thanks for any help.

Is it a Blount model,or Meade? Should be on the box...

It's the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation edition from Blount.

The Blount scopes seemed to be better,I think they had better QC than when Meade took over Weaver.It’s just like anything else that’s been discontinued,it’s really worth as much as someone will pay for it.There’s folks out there that wouldn’t give $20 for a Weaver,while someone might give $300 for it.If it’s LNIB,I’d start at $250 and go from there.I’m a fan of Grand Slams,but never had the 4.75x40.It’s a fine Japan-made optic though,and a good 4x is getting hard to find,but you have to remember Weaver is history now,with Bushnell handling the warranty...

No problem.I’ve never found a need for anything better than a Grand Slam.They’re a great optic to me,and I hated to see Weaver go away.But that’s just my opinion...

The no warranty bit might be an issue for some.

I have one of those same scopes mounted on my custom 338 Federal with McMillan stock. I like it quite well.

+1. I have 2 of these scopes, which I bought when they were phasing these out. I have been well satisfied with them as well.

These scopes are much better than most realize and they fell under the radar.

When they pop up on Ebay, which is very rare and they used to do this more often a few years ago, and if they are $150 or less I buy them no questions asked.

They may be worth more, and I think I have seen them hit the $175 range once.

If I were you, and not hard up for the money, I would keep it, now that Weaver has been bought out by Bushnell. Yep, it's true, a sad
fact in the world of Optics. In my opinion the Weaver Grand Slams and Classic V series were the best scopes for the money. I have
a class V10 on my .243. It is much better than the Leupold VX-1 I had on the rifle. I also like the Redfield Revolution and have one
on another rifle, but after much comparison the Weaver is hands down better than the Redfield and hands down better than a Burris
Fullfield II. I think it's the glass--made in Japan--and the Japanese know how to make good glass. You can't find the Classics right
now and the new grandslams are getting really scarce. Bushnell has said they are discontinuing Weaver scopes (makes no sense),
so, if I were you, I'd keep it, because it's only going to appreciate in value.

There were two listed on EBay last week,one on bid format,one with a purchase price of $299.The bid scope sold for $190 including shipping,and the other is still listed last I checked.Good luck with your sale...
