I prefer the M4 style over the HK.

For foldable backup irons, they work as good as A2 sights without the elevation wheel.

For fixed, I like Daniel Defense A1.5's

If you're wanting target sights, I will let others help you there.

I have two rifles with fixed irons, one a 5.56 with the DD A1.5 set, the other a .458 SOCOM with the Troy Fixed AR style, which I prefer over the HK style. The Troys are very rugged.
