I've got a taxidermist friend out-of-state. He's looking for a 25 inch mule deer hide to re-do an old mount in his showroom. He said it's a big deer, "no wimpy hides." He would prefer tanned and would take fleshed/salted. I would like to track one down for him.

I have one, from a Wyoming buck, that's been draped over the back of my couch for a few years. It's in perfect shape and was tanned by a taxidermist in Cody, though I can't remember his name. Have you tried Moscow Hide and Fur? Usually have a variety of capes.

A 25” is a monstrous cape! How big are the antlers? I killed a 200” it has a 22-23” neck.
