I enjoyed am first cup of coffee with my lovely wife. Our church has a big vote on a merger today. I hope, and pray that works out somehow.
The smaller towns all over are having a hard time all around.

Enough of the down talk. Haw a great day good folks!

Headed to higher terrain. With a 20 ounce insulated tumbler full of coffee that I brewed. We’ve been havin’ triple digit heat in Southern Colorado.

Good morning.

It's as cool as it will be today,it's going to be north of 108 again.

For the next week it is going to be hot with no chance of rain.

Feels like 1977-78 again.

Long hot summer for sure.

Another quiet Sunduh here. Wife will make brunch, I'll troll the internet and then watch golf. Cocktails and evening PBS shows.

It hit 98 degrees here yesterday - but with 10% humidity. Probably get close to that today on both counts.

It's 60 degrees as I type and sip my second cup of coffee. I'll head into town to get my wife her newspaper for the WSJ crossword. I need a couple of light bulbs from Home Depot and a bottle of vermouth. Back here I'll stain the other side of two kitchen cabinet doors readying them for final varnish.

Morning all.
Never thought much about mergers of churches, though I guess there have been one or two splits through the years..
Aside from the capital overhead issue it makes an interesting point about faith and being able to come together is these "unusual" times..

Well, I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad
So I had one more for dessert
Then I fumbled in my closet for my clothes
And found my cleanest dirty shirt

The merger passed, it was the only chance either church has to survive, and that looks like a short term fix.

Beautiful Sunday here. Sunny and 75*. We’ve been having a cool, wet summer so far which is fine with me because I hate the heat. Anything over 80* is too hot for me.....I’m definitely acclimated to the PNW and would not survive in the heat and humidity. I don’t know how you guys in Texas or Arizona survive the extreme heat? I used to spend a lot of time in Apache Junction Arizona, even as a teenager I was quite literally out of my element. It was so hot that even swimming was an exercise in survival. 😂

I’m getting ready to launch the boat and spend the week on the salt crabbing. My wife wants to go to the next island over for lunch or dinner so that’s in the plans too. I can tie the boat up and within a few short steps we have several good restaurants to choose from. We’ll likely eat at the Italian place that we enjoy or we’ll walk across the street and have dinner at the same place we ate with our parents on the night we were married.

Stay cool and hydrated guys. 👍

Took the ol lady to lunch, grabbed a cheap scope on way home, slapped a yote killer together.
Hopefully hit the range in a few.

if that’s the “cheap scope” on that rifle, it’s a nice one...!
