Ok guys I live in a rural subdivision and need to watch the noise. Need an air gun that can Terminate pesky varmints aro7nd my house quietly. I have a gamo 177 break gun no muzzle break when I shoot it the damn spring nois3 is loud and echos. What are some options?

The Marauder has the reputation as the quietest production gun around. There is a learning curve and a cash outlay for the recharging process. Once you are there you may be shooting a lot. My son has an M-rod as they are known, and his was really quiet but we then put a Tanto suppressor from DONNYFL.com on it and you only hear a bit of the action. But nothing like a spring piston driven rifle. I have a used M-rod coming and picked up another of DonnyFL's tantos for the .22. Be Well, Rustyzipper.

Air Arms TX200 are pretty quiet but not cheap..
Making black powder smoke is a great thing..

I put one of DOYFL's suppressors with my .30 caliber air rifle, and it does great!

I have them on an Air Force .25, Rainstorm .22, Impact MK II .25, and will hane a Tanto on thei used M-rod when it gets here. I am going to shoot it wothout then with the Tanto and let you guys and DonnyFL in on how they compare. Again the M-rod is one of the quietest PCP guns you can own. Be Well, Rustyzipper.

A Benjamin Maximus with a TKO muzzle brake is just about as quiet as a .177 Marauder, you can tune down the .22 Marauders to 750fps and they are very quiet as well. Anything with a DonnyFL suppressor on it is the pinnacle of quiet. Once you go PCP you will punch yourself in the face for ever even wasting money on those goofy break barrels.

I've been watching for spring piston value purchases as people learn how good the PCPs work. If you want to sell an HW90 or an R9 in particular let me know. But don't expect more than market price. Be Well, Rustyzipper.

I think pumping my crossman makes more noise than shooting ...
That and the clack against my paint can lid targets....

IA Fog have you done something yet? The Marauder looks like the best in .22. Use a hand pump. It is designed for a PCP gun but looks a bit like a bicycle pump. It will tax you a bit until you get used to it. I use one for my marauder pistol and other PCPs with smaller tanks. The Air Force and the Impact MkII get SCUBA air.
