Well here's one for the true believers. It's my Remington 700BDL in .350 Rem Mag - one of 500 made between 1969-1972. The 350 Rem Mag was also chambered in the model 600, the 673 Guide gun and 1985 700 classic as well as a few others. I prefer mine because it has the 24" factory barrel.

I want one! If Remington would have kept making rifles that looked that good they wouldn't be bankrupt. My first deer rifle was a M700 ADL in 270win (1984)., and the stock and bluing is some of Remington's finest work.

I love my 350. Mines a classic with a 22” barrel. Shortly after I got it I ran across a bdl and almost sold the classic to buy the bdl for the extra two inches of barrel. Looking back, I’m glad I didn’t now. Mine has morphed into a light weight hammer of a bear gun. I removed the iron sights and classic stock, and bedded the barreled action into a 700 titanium take off adl style stock. It’s perfect for the type of bear hunting I do here in PA. It’s only accounted for 1 bear, a coyote, and a big white tail doe, but none of the three traveled more than 15 yards after they were hit with a 225gr partition. It’ll be one of the last guns I ever part with!

Oh, and believe it or not, deer bite. Fairly hard.

I recently bought 7 boxes of partitions for this reason. A 600 and a 673. That 700 is a beautiful blast from the past. Why did I trade off all of the ones I owned? I still have a soft spot for them and the 358 Winchester is one of my things as well. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Be Well, Rustyzipper.

I like it!
I had a 673 in 350 RM, really liked the rifle, but then got hooked on 338-06's. Have often thought about finding a 673 in 243 or 308 and rebarreling to 338 Federal. But they are commanding some pretty good prices right now.

dingo..that is a beautiful rifle...one of the few factory .350s I have never owned.

Traded a Ruger #1 .375 H&H for a 700 Classic in 1990 and haven't been without a .350 since. Have owned:
700 Classic
600
Custom 600
Ruger 77/MKII with open sights and a 18.25" barrel
Model 7KS Custom Shop
Montana Rifle Company 22"

Still have the 600 and MRC but should have never sold the 7KS...7# loaded with scope and sling...a joy to hunt with.

The .350 round is just made for the MRC basically Winchester Short Action. One can load all weight bullets so the base of the bullet is at the base of the neck. From the 22" barrel 250s run 2708 fps and 200s 2900 fps... It is 9# even ready to hunt.

Best bullet I've found so far for the Remington SA is the Speer 220 FP. Have killed three deer with it and none went more than 50 yards. Friend with a 673 shot three black bear and all were DRT. One recovered bullet from a 380# bear standing at a bait barrel was perfectly mushroomed after passing through the shoulder, lungs heart and stopping in the fat of the chest under the skin. It is cheap and doesn't have to be deepseated like the Nosler and Sierra 225s do... 60.0 grains of 748 runs 2660 from 22" barrel. 2520 from a 18.5". Factory 200s run 2670 in a 18.5".

Lee will make a Factory Crimp Die to hold any bullet in place... Too bad Remington doesn't have any more factory ammo or even brass available. I just saw 50 rounds of new factory brass sell for almost $150 on GB...

I remember when you had that rifle up for sale, Fotis. I chewed on the idea for a day or two and by the time I decided to buy it, it was gone. I ended up with a .35 Whelen myself, as a result. You corrupted me into becoming Whelen trash!

I have a Rem Custom Shop Model 7 KS. I am amazed how accurate it is. It is my go to black bear gun. I load the 200 gr TSX for it.

I recently picked up a Remington 660 in 350 Rem mag.
Despite the cool cator of the dog leg bolt, I think a 22" or 24" barrel would have been better than the 20" on it. All of my reloads have a fireball at the muzzle. Currently trying 180 and 200 grain bullets. I have some Speer 220 JFP coming today.

But I am sure that I could sell it and reclaim my invetment.
