With the recent bankruptcy news, does anyone know if Remington ammo is/was owned by the same parent company as the firearms wing or if they've been separated like Winchester? (I highly doubt Core-lokt is ever going away, but they also still do limited runs of rarer stuff that I'd hate to see halt and disappear.)

You can pretty well count on finding something that shoots really excellent out of a rifle factory loaded and it being discontinued.

Winchester black talon fail safe ot6 ammo back in the 90,s.
My model 70 would bug hole with it.
Discontinued....

Then I switched over to a Remington premier boat tail loading after doing ammology shooting different brands.
Discontinued.
Found a 200 rd box lasted about 5 or 6 yrs till the mid 2000,s

Played around with hornady loads

Then barnes came out with the vortex line.
Back at bug holes again.

And barnes I hope dont get affected by this schit.

25-20 factory loads and brass. ‘Course, maybe then starline would finally start making it.

My 1999 Remington 700 Classic really likes the .17 Remington 25-grain Hornady HP, I hope that one doesn't go away.

Uhhh. Hornady discontinued that bullet several years ago now. I bet that load was destined for the chopping block regardless of the situation.

.32-20 factory ammo. A couple other brands make runs occasionally, but I've found Remington's to be the best by far.

What they call Marlin isn't really Marlin anyway... not quality wise, at least.

Darn. I guess I should buy ammo more often. I've got a few boxes stashed and only use it during the winter, so I should be good for a few years.

I have two boxes of Remington Kleanbore 200 grain soft points in 33 Winchester and could use a couple more. Highly doubt it will happen.

Is it reorganization?
Or dissolution?

Agreed, I had a 7600 pump and 700 that shot those winchester black coated 150 grain '06 rounds EXTREMELY accurately. Had 4 boxes and smacked a pile of deer with them. Didnt know they were discontinued and wasted a bunch trying to trying to sight in a new rifle that turned out to have a phugged up scope on it. Used my last cartridge in about 2004 on a deer and still havent found a factory round that shoots as well outta that 7600! Really hoping federal dont discontinue the Fusions in the the various calibers I shoot them in, primarily the 140s in 7-08 as they shoot damn well in mostly all rifles ive tried them in and just plain kill scheit!

My rifles shoot the 150gr stuff at 1” or better and sometimes it can be had at $12.99 per box with promotions. I’ve never reloaded .30-30 because this stuff always performs and it’s so darn inexpensive.

Lots of fun.
