Just got my 135 30 caliber back yesterday. It sadly had a factory (I guess) problem and ceased working, had to return to the factory for repairs. Seems to be fine, fires great. The .30 caliber pellets are massive! Rifle is VERY solid, big and heavy enough to pass for a .30 firearm! Takes some strength to cock it. Impressive wood stock, actually wears a recoil pad! Test firing yesterday at 15 yards - quiet enough (barely) for my backyard - yielded TIGHT groups. I bought it from Midway, placed to use it for pest control/small game. I have some Vortex "Big Bore Supreme .30 cal pellets that weigh 44.75 grans, also some Polymag "Premium Pellets" of the same weight that feature a hollow head designed with a polymer tip that are supposed to feature penetration and expansion. Seems like before I had to send it for repairs I shot a raccoon with it at my woods place. Just guessing, but I suspect it would put the hurt on a small feral hog! Bought it with a 3x9 Optima scope which seems to hold up well to the springer "recoil". Due to the size and weight, plus the cocking effort, this is for adults - mot a kids toy!

Have't heard yet what was wrong with it, but it came back apparently repaired - and zero charge!

For the size and power, I consider this a break-through air gum, and certainly at a decent price!

Got a reply from the Hatsam service folks today, they said the Vortex piston was mot holding pressure, so they replaced the pistol and seals, also some other parts I did mot realize were missing? Shot it a bunch against today with a Hawk 2x7 scope I bought for it, and things performed very well. Want to get back to the woods with it and do some shooting soon. Good shooting a air rifle that makes such big holes! And it pretty much is louder hitting a target than just firing!

Forgot to add, after first getting this rifle and deciding I didm't much care for the loud "pop" of the report, I had a airgun suppressor made for it (have to dig out the details of that construct). Actually works real well, makes it much quieter. Of course, airgun suppressors are mot subject to the same federal regs as firearms suppressors! Permits, etc ? Uh uh!

My suppressor is by Dommy L, by the way (and my laptop keyboard has stopped doing "the letter between "m" and "o").

Shot some different ammo types yesterday, pellets of .44.75 gr - both domed and polymer pointed - and some heavier 50. 15 gr domed. The heavier pellets (at 25 yards) were MUCH more accurate, and devastated the 1/4" plywood board I used for target backing. For mow, the 50 gr pellets are my choice. I am looking at a Air Force (PCP) .45 caliber air rifle, but the .30 cal seems to be as "big" as break barrels are made, and it makes for a handy and useful air rifle. Also more affordable!

My air rifle suppressor is a very useful add-on to the rifle. I'd buy another without much thought. Good guy to deal with, also.

Today I shot some mew - to me - pellets. Lead hollow points - 50 and 62 gr. I think they will be great o game, but just shooting plywood, my 50 gr Vortex pellets were more impressive.

Donny FL is great to buy from, his cans WORK, and his products arrive fast. He starts from halfway across the country from me and I get the parts quick. Be Well, RZ.

A update for the .30 caliber. Couple of days ago, my wife asked t take a shot at a squirrel with it. Target was 40 yards away - lazered - playing on the ground through tall weeds. Wife has barely shot the air rifle before, took the shot from a good and proper rest - and made a hit! The squirrel flopped around a lot before coming to a rest. The we walked over to check it, the hit was a head wound, just above the jaw. The 50 gr rounded pellet did what it should, sure kill. Our squirrels ca be hard to kill at times with a .22 LR or eve a small bore shotgun. Wife credited the Hawke scope for making the hit look easy.

First kill with the .30! Sure it won't be the last.

Good luck with it. It should be a great gun and as you already saw a hard hitter. Be Well, RZ.
