I've picked up a 21" stainless T/C barrel in 22 Hornet & I'd like to install a short rail for Weaver style scope mounts on the pre-drilled holes.

Which rails do you guys like? & any links to vendors?

Check out Stratton Custom. Not Pic rails, but the best Weaver type scope bases that I have found for Contenders and Encores. Check out the low sale prices on his mounts now, stainless and Blued. The machine work is superb. RJ

I have EGW rails on both of my barrels. I did have to shorten the screws a touch on the TC .22 Match barrel. Not sure if that applies to other factory barrels or if mine was a fluke. If (when) I get another MGM, I'm going for their 6-hole base.

The one rj posted looks very nice, but I like having all the slots available. Never know what you might want to hang on it.

Mr Stratton has a few 6 hole blued bases only left, he's clearing them out.

Well rj308 was right about Stratton Custom. High quality all the way & a great owner to deal with, I picked up 2 of the matte blue bases in the 6 hole configuration asked if he could do something about the 2 holes I wouldn’t be using so yeah he tapped them out, ground down 2 of the small Torix bolts and lock - tighted them in. Really clean solution. I mounted my 6-24x scope up today on the Hornet barrel & it’s rock solid.

Mr. Stratton is a good man. He helped make it possible for me to have stainless scope bases on my stainless M70 Featherweights. I bought a couple of his stainless Contender bases he had on sale and machined the undersides & drilled/counter bored them to fit my Winchesters. RJ

I'm going to run my new to me T/C carbine in its factory configuration for now, but if I need to tighten the group's up I will definitely look into his forarm hanger system.

I have two Contenders, an older one and a brand new G2, BOTH had wiggle in them between the frame and Bbl..... grab the gun by the wrist, point it to the ceiling and just wiggle left and right to see if you can hear/feel the 'play'.....

I removed ALL of the play in both by using the BellmTC oversized hinge pin.............. as a result groups tightened!

Hanger bars are iffy at best. Use Bellm oversized pin first.....
