I have a rabbit that is destroying my garden plants. I would like to trap him and give him a ride. I have a live trap and would like to know what bait to use. He has been eating a Hibiscus some Hostas and some new Rhubarb shoots, so far. Help. (I would gun him but that is not legal here).

Half an apple works good for bait.

Yes. they do like apples. Pulled in my driveway once and a bunny was chowing down on a fallen golden delicious. When my garage door started to open he picked up his apple and ran for the sagebrush.

I used to live trap bunnies for a guy to help train his dogs. He paid me by the rabbit and I caught a few. Always used apples for bait.

It is a frigging rabbit, kill the bloody thing and be done with it... and if it has kittens then stiff shit.

These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

I use .22 lr for bait. grin Word of caution...... they're not worth much after ingesting that small amount of lead.

That sounds like a plan. I am not having much luck with the lettuce. I will try the apple thing next.

Very nicely said. Disney must have made an impact on you. Just an update: One Bad Bunny was caught chewing on a lead pellet this morning. Didn't even give me a chance to put my britches on. Thought I was seeing double but turned out to be two. I guess I will have to keep on "trapping" them.- Mike
