Anybody ever use any of the rifle basix triggers for 700’s? If so what were your thoughts?

Thx, Ben

Sample of one. Put one on a Remington 700, won't buy anymore. Maybe a few bucks more gets a Timney which I feel is better quality.

Same thing here. Tried one, it's okay, but I'll not buy another one. especially when you can get a Timney for a little more money.

Sample of one here as well. I had one put on a custom rifle with a Surgeon action. After about 1K rounds, the trigger developed creep that couldn't be tuned out. I won't ever buy another.

I have one on a pre-accutrigger Savage. At the time, it was about the only game in town. It’s fine, but I prefers my Timney’s in my Remington 700’s to the Rifle Basix in the Savage.

I have one on a CZ .22. It's OK, but I'd go for something else on a centerfire.

I have two and have had no issues

Curious what kind of problems others are having with them?

The only thing that sucks worse than the triggers is the owner.

What everyone else said. They suck. I've got one laying around here somewhere. I got it in the early 2000s, and the first one was not right and the top lever rubbed the bottom of the bolt body. I was sent another one but never could adjust it without it dropping the firing pin when closing the bolt hard. It's now a paper weight. I ended up putting a Jewell in that particular 700 instead. I'd take a Walker trigger resprung and properly adjusted over a Basix.

Same as the others mentioned...... creep.
I put a Timney in an RAR .223 and it’s a way better product.

I have a number of them, mostly in 700s and they are okay triggers. What I don't understand is all the love for Timney. Timneys are erratic in pull weight and frequently have all sorts of issues. I have gotten three that were labeled incorrectly, for example.

I would take a Walker over either.

I am with you 100% on that, most of my Timney's and Rifle Basix are gone. Jewell, Shilen and trigger Tech fill most of my needs

Lotsa creep that I can't get adjusted out and the safety is kind of funky hard to go back to safe. have put Timney's in a few Rem 700's and a Win 70 or two and was always satisfied with the results.

I don't have a lot of experience with aftermarket triggers, but I've had good experiences with Rifle Basix so far, but with just a sample size of two. One on a 700 and one on a 7.

I HATE Walker triggers. With a passion. My father had a prized 17 Remington that someone "lightened" the trigger on, and I had it discharge on me one day when I flicked the safe off. Once is all it takes. I've not carried that rifle for years now. I won't even take it to the range. It will get an aftermarket trigger, likely a Basix.

Just do a trigger tech and you will never look back. Best trigger for the best price going.

Put one in a 700/.308 and a 600/.308 and loved both of them. A friend bought the 600 from me but I still have the 700...zero issues. Have one that needs to go into a 700/.257 Weatherby that I have not gotten a chance to install yet...
