About 400 cannery workers and 100 residents who live in the inundation area. All the rest of us have sense enough to live on high ground. The tide station at Sand Point recorded 0.8ft. Then they called it off. There's been several aftershocks but I've only felt two. One near the epicenter and another which I think is another quake, on the landmass east of Pavlof Bay. In the big tsunami in Seward from the '64 quake a guy survived by grabbing the top of a huge spruce as he went by. He had a hard time getting down out of the tree.
