I looked back a few pages and saw now mention. Sorry if I've already been Jimmied.

Kingman area a little bit ago.

I've seen a whole lot of nasty cells develop in that part of the world. Had my old '86 Toyota truck about buried in gravel when a flash flood came down the wash where I lived at the time. Over 2.5" rain in less than 45 min on a very dry desert hillside above us. But I've never seen a twister there.

seems like about every 10 years or so there is one around flagstaff. last one left a track through a mature forest at least 10 miles long.

Billings maybe.

Not flat enough in Salmon I think?

Skeeters in Williams.........................try Pinetop sometime.

One came down the canyon, through Cimarron, NM, some years back. Flat country not required!

They had a twirly in Salt Lake City some years ago. I guess they can happen in lotsa places. Far too frequent in this strange land I inhabit, though.

I was in north east Phoenix a little over 60 years ago visiting my grandmother when one hit Scottsdale. Lots of hail, lightning, and wind. Pretty scary for a 6-8 year old kid.

While Salmon Idaho is not likely to get a tornado, they can get hit with micro bursts. Those things can be as dangerous and destructive as a tornado.

Phoenix metro gets a small/ short lived tornado about once every 2 or 3 years...They had one just a few months ago here in the Gilbert area that came down in a parking lot and went back up. Had a couple in the last few years out by Apache Junction/ San Tan Valley area.....Never hear about much damage from them.

I wonder if it was the same one that generated the microburst that knocked down a ton of timber on Camp Navajo?

Pretty great dust devil from the freeway today in gorgeous Yuma AZ today. On our way to The Taint (California). Best one I think I’ve ever seen. Pics are mediocre

We lived in Tucson when that happened. They said like a half dozen touched down in northern AZ that storm. I was like yeah, right.

Turns out right in my squirrel hunting spot is where one touched down. When we moved back up to Flag we went out there and you could see a swath, mature ponderosas snapped in half 10’ up the trunk. Crazy.

yes exactly, came up over the mogollon rim, (western part) went through the forest, then the Depot (NAD), then center-punched the RV dealer , went on north, crossed 180 up by slate mtn.

you can see the track on google earth
