Actually, the lasers I worked around required a red spectrum type of glasses. They looked like an orange/red ish over wrap pair of safety glasses that protected all the way around but weren’t like a welding shield that filters so much it makes you feel blind. I can’t remember how good depth perception, etc was with them.
Regardless, the hazardous and wreckless behavior should be treated worse than Assault on an Officer and the Perpetrator should get a ridiculously long prison sentence to dissuade others.

Disagree, the person shining the lazer as an offensive weapon needs to be terminated on the spot. The rest of us should not have to pay to incarcerate the sob for any length of time. Just the same in the protests a brick or rock to your head will kill you as dead as a bullet. See some footage on here the other day of a black clothed individual supplying projectiles to protestors the cops got him on cam they should have been shooting him.

62gr hollow point at 3000 fps to whoever shines lasers, or sets off fireworks would stop that PDQ.
since you can buy a 500mw 532 nm hand held laser pointer from a chinese company on the internet for about $80, then you should if your going near a downtown area buy a pair of $16 laser safety glasses that cover the broadest spectrum of frequencies. Sorry Charlie, too many cowards in the world hiding behind black lives matter and creating chaos, just go to protect yourself if your going to go near them. The mayors ain’t gonna help you.
Until word gets out that it is a severe felony with some hard core azzpounding time involved ,they will not stop.It needs to be a Federal offense also( if possible),cause here in Newyorkistan,they get a high five and back to the streets they go.
