I had the Passion 6x 2.5-15 and was truly impressed with the glass. For the $$, there was nothing I had seen that matched it in terms of resolution, contrast, edge-to-edge sharpness, etc. The glass itself was amazing in low light. The build quality was top-flight as well. However, the illumination on its lowest setting was overpowering -- to the point of being useless once you got to 20 or so minutes after sundown. GPO had no solution to the issue, so I had to send it back. I just can't understand building a high-quality scope intended for low-light applications and then hamstringing it with a cheap and useless illumination system, but GPO isn't the only one to do such. Building a scope with a 56mm objective and featuring high-noon-only illumination just makes me scratch my head and wonder why...

Reminds me of “Chicago Tool”.... made in China. I think there’s Pittsburg Tool now, also made in China. I remember when I was a kid, I remember a company that sold a lot of brass-plated stuff. Picture frames and stuff. The name of the company was “Solid Brass”

I have had the 4-12×42(phillipines) 4-12x50 iluminated reticle (japan)and now have the 6-24x50 (japan).
I liked them all. Good products. No twisting turrets though. Glass is pretty good.
I also have the gpo passion hd 8x42 and they r fantastic.
