This book is a very interesting book and is written by a man who has been an 'importer' or go between for American businesses and Chinese manufacturers for a good many years.
In it Mr. Midler describes the negotiation process and how the Chinese methods differ so much from Western methods. Midler describes how 'Quality fade' is a coomon problem with Chinese goods and how the contract, which is the standard in the West, is sort of a modifiable agreement - modifiable at their will- by the Chnese manufacturers.
A fascinating look at some culture clash.
