Brimley did a great job with Tom Selleck and Mark Harmon in "Crossfire Trail".
A dear departed Uncle used to tell us that Brimley was his farrier back in the 60s. I do not know for a fact that Brimley lived in Treasure Valley Id after his years as a Marine and before going to Hollywierd.
But, as he was native to SLC, a sojourn up around Boise would be reasonable. Anyway, my Uncle thought WB was salt of the Earth.

Brimley, at one time, had a place just off US95 a few miles south of Marsing. Just a short distance after starting up into the Owyhees. The ranch is off to the east side of the highway. It sits down in a bit of a basin and can easily be seen from 95. Iirc, he built it back in the late 70's. I believe he sold it in the late 80's or early 90's and moved to Wyoming. Not to sure, but it seems to me that he had another place in the Boise Valley before this one.
