For 9x19 up to and including 45ACP.

Budget friendly suggestions? Don't own a 45 so kinda leaning that way...

Not sure if either of these work with just a barrel swap : S&W 5906 or Ruger SR9c?

Had thought about a carbine but decided a handgun first.

Fixed barrel sure wouldn't hurt so I can just go direct thread. But, that's pretty limiting.

Not seeing much under about $600. There's the Suppressor ready CZs that look interesting. Not picky about the feature set. Honestly, that CZ 9mm 21 shot capacity would work and available too.


Not finding threaded barrels for the 5906 or SR9c.

Might be prudent to figure this one out rather than impulse buy. LOL

I went fn 509 tactical and run a Burris ff3 and dead air ghost suppressor

I’m about 700 rounds in without a single glitch. Have run 115g up to 150 subs. All cycle and run reliably

I didn’t want to have to go buying barrels, switching springs, or getting slides milled. So the fn made sense for me. I’m very pleased with it

The fn 45 tactical is pretty cool as well. But it’s a large pistol for sure

If you have a 9mm Glock you could get a threaded barrel and swap it out.

I would love to find a good threaded barrel for my 5906.

Springfield has some models of the XD series that have threaded barrels.

I went with an XD and have no complaints.

If the FN was readily available I would grab it and run.

Yah. Sure don't find anything though.


Did discover I have a Ruger Mark iii 22/45 and going to thread it for starters. Selection is pretty sparse right now.

I've got a Springfield xd mod 2 9mm with the tall sights and threaded barrel. Its the 2 tone FDE/black. Its still NIB I've not shot it yet. I paid a little over 400 for it new. I'd like to sell it because my others are all XDm and I'd rather have this one XDM to use the same mags.
