Yep I have the same rifle and it makes me look like I know what I'm doing. Nice shooting.

I have a Savage 12 BVSS with a one in 9 twist... it even stabilizes 80 grain Sierra match and 80 gr A Maxes just fine...

Yep, I loaded some 70 gr VLD's and they were same as the 60 TMK;s. Very accurate.

Thats good to know. Care to share the load? My experience with the 77gr was less than fabulous: I mean all over the place at 400. I have tons of 75gr HPBT I could try though..

Lawrence,

that Hornady 75 BTHP has unceremounously been doing its gig for a long time...

In all of my 223s, it has been more accurate than ALL of these newer plastic tip bullets..

Same thing with the 68 gr BTHP...

Too many folks think new stuff should be better than the old tried and proven stuff...

that along with the older 80 grain A Max are the three most accurate bullets in my 223s, with the 1 in 9 Twist barrels..

and none of them are any slouch for dropping blacktails.

I sure like the Hornady 68s and 75s. They shoot like target bullets and kill well above any "varmint" moniker. I use them on deer, and not just wee little meat deer. They shoot superbly for me out of a 1:9. Four guns from two manufacturers, so not a fluke.

I’ve had better accuracy out of the 77TMK than the 75BTHP. More predictable performance on deer and pigs as well. Ymmv
