Anyone tried this? It’s been purported that 3000 FPS is possible with a 130 grain bullet and reloader 26. I’m working with a 26 inch barrel.

I don't doubt it, I have the 143 ELDX going 2930 with a 27 inch barrel.

I think that it is doable. I have not used many lighter bullets in my Creeds, but in my .260s, I was a bit over 3000 using Reloder 17 in the 24-inch barrels with 129 Interlocks. Reloder 26 should do it with your long barrels.

You did not "seen" anything, you "saw" it. A "creek" has water in it, a "crick" is what you get in your neck. Liberals with guns are nothing but hypocrites.

2700-2800 with 129-143s is plenty for most jobs, IMHO. That's about where I was running 130 ABs in my 260s and 6.5x55 in the past.
New powders I am sure are great, but for decades the much larger case 270 was doing around 3k with 130s....in 22-24"
It would be interesting to know actual pressures....
How is case life for you folks? Hornady, Lapua or what brass?
