Looking for a good weather app for my smartphone. I was using Dark Sky, but it recently went away. I guess they are not in business anymore. Any recommendations?

weather.com seems to be the most accurate of the ones I have tried.

I sure could go for some $2.50/gal gas and a mean tweet!

I posted the best site that I've ever seen, earlier
is why I asked. This is the best one I've found so far. The data available is probably more than meteorologists have had up until recently.
Read this, then I'll be right back to post it for you.
From their "About us home page."

The Ventusky: web application has been developed for you at our company, InMeteo, in collaboration with Marek Mojzík and Martin Prantl. We are a Czech meteorological company based in Pilsen. At our company, we focus on weather prediction and meteorological data visualisation. We have a wealth of experience in presenting weather data from our portal, In-počasí, which was founded in 2006 and is now one of the highest-traffic servers in the Czech Republic. We decided to take advantage of our knowledge and experience and create a top-quality application that clearly displays meteorological data from around the world and allows you to monitor weather development for any place on earth.

Dark Sky went to Apple only. Piss on them.
I changed to Accuweather. They changed it a bit a few days ago but it is very good. Even does minute by minute for the next hour

Thanks for the info. I just logged in and asked for suggestions. Had not read through the various posts. I checked out the link you posted. Impressive. Also, answer to your question: yes. THANKS!

You're very welcome.

The reason that I ask is that there's no way that this is a coincidence. Only One Person can make that happen.

If anyone is interested in a basic weather app for Android that doesn't require an actual install, the Google weather shortcut can be put on your home screen. Click the microphone icon and say "weather" and if it works, Google with ask you if you want a quick link on your home screen. Simple, fast, no install and no ads. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some of the installed apps but worth looking at if you want the basics.
