I have two. One is as new 700 Classic. The other is a custom build on a 600 action. Douglas air gauge barrel, early Kevlar stock, a very durable finish that still looks new after 30+ years and a custom paint job.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

Damn that is so good looking. Love the 350. The barnes 200 tsx is a great bullet and made to load where magazine length is an issue. Great performance on game. R17 has been the best powder for my loads. Cannot get tac to shoot in my rifle.

Gorgeous rifle man!!! I wanted ine bad back about '86/87... I was building a Argentine 98 Mauser. Because the bolt work needed a d the finikness that a belted case can cause in a conversion. I opted for the 35 Whelen. My single and only complaint was as I handed that gun smith the final 1200$ for the rifle work. He showed me a brand new Remington Classic chambered in 35 Whelen for 1987... with a price tag os LESS THEN 1/2 Of what I just paid. . But my Mauser works and shoots perfect AND its built To my exact instruction. I agree if you needing ghat within 250 or so yards that Speer 220 is near perfection! If ya need range I like Nosler Accubonds. I use the 225's in my Whelen its a laser inside 300! (Never had opportunity at longer) Biggest issue is short magazines. Ya cant seat long boolits. Good luck with it!! CW

I loaded up a 225 gr Woodleigh and TAC for my .358 Win Mannlicher Schoenauer this past Fall. My son shot this bear with it. Never seen so much blood! I have also used that bullet in my .350 Rem Mag

That is a sweet 700. I didn't know they chambered it in 700BDL's.

Nice looking rifle, the stock, metal, all of it. I have a 350 Classic I bought when they came out and a 700 from the Custom Shop I bought used for a good price on G/broker several years ago. I like my 35’s
