Have you ever had a vehicle that just attracts parking lot dings?
I have a 2012 KIA Soul - Red so it is easy to see. Got it new and within 1 week had someone back into it and leave. The car has multiple little dings from car doors, people hitting it with lumber at Home Depot (guy left a note apologizing but no name or number), etc. . Today was another door ding. Just frustrating when you can keep all your other stuff new, in good condition and this little vehicle gets every idiot out there parking around it.
Rant over.

I had a pickup like that. Finally sold it. Told the guy why.

My late older brother had a work truck that got hit constantly, red lights, stops sign and parking lots. we thought it might be possessed by demons His bad luck ended the day he traded it on a new Chevy C10 which moved it's evil to the chevy dealer. When the employee took it from him and drove to the back lot it's brakes went out and smash 4 cars. LOL

Old people open their doors with both feet, right into the side of yours.

I had a 2007 Nissan Frontier...that truck could get a dent parked out in the middle of an empty parking lot!

I dont park near old people or old people type land barges Old people open their doors with both feet, right into the side of yours. With my KIA I used to park away but it did not seem to help and now it no longer matters as the car's resale value has been seriously dinged. My F350 I park away and it is still staying in good shape with no parking lot dings. It does seem to attract people to park in the same area. One day at a hardware store most of the lot was empty including stalls close to the store. As I was pulling a cargo trailer I parked a fair ways off. Came back to the truck, the lot was still 90% empty but this little sports car that parked tight to the drivers side of the truck. I had to go in through the passengers side and climb over the console. So I pulled the truck out and placed the trailer very tight to the drivers side of that little sports car and went for coffee. I watched the guy come back and do a slow take on the situation. You could see him figure out why. I went over as he was standing there smiled at him and moved the unit so he could get in. He waved and apologized.

Some people can't seem to open their cars doors unless they fling them wide open before laboriously rolling their barge arses out of the seat.

I used to have an old '66 GMC pickup with dents and rust all over it. The thing ran when nothing else would, but it looked like hell. I could park in any crowded parking lot and when I can out, there would be empty spaces around it.

Not really, I drive/park defensively.
Stay back from entrances, don't park on ends or corners. If parking beside a car, park on their right, park beside nice cars. Avoid cars with huge doors.
Women are terrible for getting and giving door dings. Most don't drive their car, it's something that happens to get them where they want. No actual thought is given to why they do what they do.
When I was in CDL training, the old timer that headed the program had a game he like to play.
Why? Why did you do that? At anytime, for anything, good or bad. The point was to think about every single move you made, so that you were making conscience decisions, not mindless moves.

My wife's 2017 Explorer looks like it's been in a sideways hail storm. It stays under cover and I keep it maintained, but her and the grandkids treat it like a damn stock trailer.
