I'm glad I've never been.
From pictures I've seen, parts of NYS are lovely, and I'm sure there's nice people out there.

From pictures I've seen, parts of NYS are lovely, and I'm sure there's nice people out there.
Any city is a chithole.....call me anti-social. People who've not been there can not comprehend how beautiful and how remote some parts of NY are. Where my wife and I are from, the population density is about 1.2 persons per square mile. It's all about fishing, hunting, outdoor living... It's a day's drive to that chancroid of a place most people from outside NY think of when you say, NY. Most of the people in NYS live in NYC or one of the other 4 major cities and therein lies the problem. They rule the rest of the state.

Ironically, this attempt to destroy the NRA has the potential to turn it around and make it better than ever. It'll expose what, if any chicanery has been going on, will almost surely be the end of LaPierre. I don't claim to know enough truth of the matter to judge him one way or another, but he has become such a controversial and divisive presence that the organization is better off without him. With him gone, they can charter in another state and put some effort into repairing the damage and getting back to business.
