The market looks forward. Jan to date +$80k. Looking to double that by Jan. Unrealized gain means little, but it does finance future moves. The flowers will be trimmed.

The scoop of this is that the Dow has recovered the losses it made during the covid market downturn earlier in the year. Just so we're all on the same page, p.4155.

The actual economy is in the schitter so deep it can't breath through it's mouth anymore. Correct, partly. The Dow to me is more a representation of consumer confidence than anything else. I, for one, don't trust the stock market much and, as a result, don't invest heavily there.

I guess it depends where you live, life is hustling and bussling here in Colorado, I don't know anyone that's been affected by this pandemic directly other than inconveniences. Bro in law is an investment broker in Baltimore and is busier than ever, brother is construction in Miami and hes turning down work. Only jobs I see being affected is minimum wage service sector jobs. I'm loving what the stock markets are doing, I made a great move earlier this year with mine and the wifes 401K's and our PIP's for the last 12 months are near 30%. Couldn't be better as we prepare for retirement. Good for you, AlaskaCub. Best wishes for your upcoming retirement. I just un-retired myself.. again. Lol. Started a new remodeling business, I've been doing it on my properties for 30+ years. Figured I might as well make some money off all those stripes on my back.
