Any recommendations for leather work gloves that will hold up? Not the thin Mechanix type, but nothing so thick and heavy that there's no dexterity.

The 3-pack of leather work gloves from Costco have served me well.
If you beeswax them, they’re a bitch to break in!
Lexol or neets oil.

Lexol or neets oil. Do you zip up your shoes too? Gloves are a disposable wear item. Goatskin.

Kinco last the longest. Tony Lamas fit the best. Next pair will be Tony's

I get mine from a welding supply house. About $6 /pair, leather. They holdup fairly well. Try using a farriers rasp with a leather glove and see how long they last. I wear out about two pair every summer, one in hunting season and one in the winter. I will have to check the catalog tomorrow that is down in the shop to get the name of the supplier

Golden Stag Work Gloves with reinforced palm, thumb, and trigger finger. They are 18.00 a pair at the Co-op but the fit great and generally last until i leave them on the bumper or something stupid.

I know it's not what you asked but Milwaukee makes a great cut level 1 work glove and they have great dexterity. My boy bought them for me and I have since dropped the leather gloves

Lexol or neets oil. I bought some of those. I didn't care for the fit. Poor dexterity. Ok for rough work I guess.
