Now that will make a great fish fry. Crappie one of my favorite fish to eat.

Caught these on minnows. Tried a jig and a jig tipped w a minnow but no luck. Minnow on a gold hook with a split shot above was the ticket.

Nice! Start of a great fish fry right there! Getting close, I still have about 20 others in the freezer. Time to clean it out. Going to spend a few days off work in September trying to replenish w more fresh crappie then the fall/winter bite will be on.

Nice! I'll be moving to Warrensburg in January and have plans of learning how to do this stuff next spring. I don't have a clue on how to catch anything but a trout, but after we find a house I'm going to buy a cheap boat and learn to catch crappy and jug-line catfish down at Truman!
