If you find yourself a gun, I have a ton of brass and dies I'd let go of fairly cheap.

Not a 6mm but do have a Finnish made Browning 243 that is quite nice.
Some mornings, it just does not feel worth it to chew through the straps!~

I have a 700 classic that I’d let go for $1K
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

The classic for 1k and it’s in your budget you can’t ask for a better rifle in my opinion. The 6mm and the 243 were the 2 hardest ones to find to complete our entire classic collection

I have a rem 600 in some really fancy maple, the stock needs some work on getting it refinished.
It's a good shooter, if interested let me know, send PM we'll talk price and pics.
Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.
When your ship comes in. ... make sure you are willing to unload it.
PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

You might take a look at a Remington M7 Stainless. There are some floating around out there. I do agree you'd be hard pressed to do better than the 700 Classic.

M7 stainless would be nice too. I'm excited about the classic for sure
