I’ve read some of their posts...But, I’ve never done a deep dive into 4chan.
The posters seem extremely savvy at taking apart a picture or video then frame by frame analyzing individuals. A few hours later, they have a pretty good dossier built with what appears compelling pictures of individuals they have compiled from historic information available both written Twitter posts, FB, and the typical social media “Hey look at me shît”
Who are these people?

I tried checking out 4chan some time ago. I quickly let my web browser take me elsewhere.

The joke is Autism and those on the spectrum are willing to bring a focus to an issue us "normies" don't understand. I tend to think of it as a force of good but you damn sure don't want to be on their radar as an evil thing. Literally found ISIS terrorists in Syria that the Russians then put warheads to foreheads.

It's impossible to know how many people on the 4chan /pol/ forum actually participate in outing people and finding out all about them. But they're damn good at it.
I don't know why they're not making a big 6 figure salary working for the FBI or the CIA. It may be because the FBI and the CIA is afraid to have them around.

Why pay to give them a cubicle when they are willing to work from their mother's basement? And why would the 4channers want to use the antiquidated equipment the government would issue them? Besides, some of the methods used by 4chan might have legal problems if they were to become known. As mentioned, it would not be pretty to have these guys mad at you and their bosses, being mostly unknowns, would likely become publicized targets if the Cheetos were stale.

4Chan has a bunch of different boards, /Pol/ is just one of them. Pol is not a place for the thin skinned.
/K/ is the board for weapons/military/war and oftentimes has some interesting historical stuff pop up on it.
