It's about what I would expect from my local police dept. if I were to begin shooting at them. Wouldn't any cop return fire if you started shooting at them?
I participate on another forum, has a couple of black guys and a handful of liberals who rant about Trump on a regular basis.
And I was talking about how profiling is an effective way of policing, and if you want the police to stop profiling you then you need to change the statistics.
So they respond about how its unfair that someone like Lebron James has to have "the talk" with his kids about police. And I respond that I had the same talk, and when a cop pulls me over I keep both hands on the steering wheel, if its at night I turn the dome light on in my car and I have my drivers license out, visible and ready to hand over to them. Now I understand not all people will do this, but my position is when you are pulled over by a cop, you are in a no leverage situation - and antagonizing the guy, or worse, you get the unhinged one that is looking for a confrontation is a potentially bad moment going really bad on you.
Anyways, they said I was full of schit, that white people really don't do that and I had no credibility, until 4 other white guys chimed in and said they put their hands on the steering wheel when they get pulled over by cops too.
At the end of the day, you don't screw around with a man who has a gun, a badge and a department that will stand behind him if he shoots your ass.
Why blacks don't get this concept in this day and age, I don't understand.

have you paid your dues, can you moan the blues, can you bend them guitar strings
btw, that shooting was pretty big news around here, a deputy got shot by an ex con who told his parole officer he'd shoot any cop that tried to arrest him.
The video has a German Shepherd running into the line of fire, I don't see how the dog didn't get shot but he didn't, thank goodness, but unfortunately a deputy was shot, survived and is at home recovering.

Sheriff Grady in Polk Co. FL pretty much says the same thing. After a gun battle Polk Co. deputies had with an armed felon named Francis, the good sheriff said " We tried to help Francis, but he was full of holes".
And I respond that I had the same talk, and when a cop pulls me over I keep both hands on the steering wheel, if its at night I turn the dome light on in my car and I have my drivers license out, .
Only been stopped once in the past many years, and since I have a CPL, and knowing the officer knows that based on my license plate I believe - my hands are at the 10 and 2 position on the steering wheel with the window down.
If he asks for my license and registration I tell them it’s in my wallet and the registration is in the console beside.
I move S L O W L Y to get them. I ain’t about to argue about anything and I’m a cracker.

White people don't do that? Ha, Bullchit. I've had the talk with my son, wife, friends....anyone that matters.
Have your license, registration and insurance card readily available. When pulled over, roll down window, turn on dome light, retrieve documents, have them in your hand, and your hands on the wheel. Don't go reaching anywhere without first advising him and asking him "that's in my glove box, can I retrieve it" type of thing.
Best place to argue with LE is in the court room. Once his mind is made up to cite and / or arrest you, nothing you do (and especially not fighting and resisting arrest) is going to change that. Make your case in the courtroom. Alive. Not beat to a pulp (or dead) on the side of a road.
Guns are responsible for killing as much as Rosie O'Donnel's fork is responsible for her being FAT.

Funny, I do very similar. Both hands on the wheel, car turned off, keys laying in plain sight on the dashboard. Never make a move for anything without saying "License are in my glove box" Usually a respectful nod and "Go ahead". You know since I started doing that, the cops have been super respectful and polite. I make sure to do nothing to antagonize or worry them. I look at them as having the upper hand and the authority, and try my best to treat them as such. Yes, I have had a jerk of a cop who was very disrespectful and pretty much threw the book at me (180 dollar fine, 4 points for 17 over). But that is rare. Most you treat with respect, you get the same. Admittedly I am more rural, but like to think it works other places.
......the occasional hunter wielding a hopelessly inaccurate rifle, living by the fantastical rule that this cartridge can deliver the goods, regardless of shot placement or rifle accuracy. The correct term for this is minute of ego.
I don't recommend the shoot twice and evaluate the threat philosophy that we have had in years past. I recommend that you shoot until he stops wiggling.

The lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part!

Both hands on the wheel, window down. Do not look around the car, move around in the seat. We he comes up, there will be time to get the [bleep] you should keep in an accessible place. But do not be digging around for it when he is behind you, not knowing what the hell you are doing.
As for the talk? Every sensible parent I know has it with their new driver. All of them are white.
Blacks talk about "The Talk", But judging by what we keep seeing, they ain't doing it!
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

Maybe grey matter challenged LeBron James should have "the talk" with his kids about China's inexplicable behavior.
Ain't gonna happen.
LeBron James needs to just STFU.

if you lick the cops boots it would even be better. it is plain to see the cowardice displayed by the modern fake right and the main reason the country is falling apart

Child porn schloms like you don't belong here.
Haven't you figured that out yet?
It's easy to see you're not very intelligent. But, even you should have been able to figure that out.

Or maybe black kids don't listen to their parents anymore than they listen to cops.

When I took my CPL class many years ago, the instructor said if we have to shoot - keep shooting as long as they are standing.
