In 2016, Portland videographer Mike Strickland, finding himself surrounded and threatened by a crowd of Antifa protestors, pulled out a legally-owned and legally-carried (valid CHL holder) pistol to defend himself. The crowd backed away. No shots were fired. He was found guilty on 21 counts, including 10 felonies!!! His appeal is now heading to SCOTUS. Case of Portland Man Who Defended Himself . . .

The SC will refuse to hear the case and the lower court ruling will stand.

So if he didn't have a gun, or any way to defend himself, and this Antifa crowd maimed or killed him,
would those in the crowd been held accountable? I highly doubt it...
these antifa punks have been trying to lock people in a building and then burn the building down...
they needed to be rounded up and thrown in jail... and then burn the jail down...

they needed to be rounded up and thrown in jail... and then burn the jail down... It looks like they intentionally targeted Strickland the day he was accosted and pursued. He'd been reporting on the "Portland Protesting Crowd" for a long time, and doing a good job of showing how ridiculous they were. They'd always left him alone, until they didn't. It also looks like his lawyers threw him under the bus, opting for a bench trial because they feared the jury pool wasn't promising. They thought it was open-and-shut self-defense, and that he would be cleared. They didn't bother to defend him much.

So, someone who successfully defended himself against an attack from overwhelming numbers of terrorists without actually hurting anyone is guilty of all sorts of felonies. Yet a man who assassinates a Trump supporter is still out walking around last I checked. Rioters are arrested and then immediately released by prosecutors who are “down with the cause”. These DAs and judges need to be charged with civil rights violations, ie. equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment. We’re dealing with evil people who have no problem using their positions, under the color of law, to go after their political enemies.

I've read the appellate decision. The Supremes will not take this case. Very unfortunate he was in Portland 'cause a gun owner acting in self defense will never get justice in that town.
