Do you all think it helps prevent the spread of the Commie 19 virus?

My doctor says it’s a waste of time.

Nope. Its all about fear. I have to wear one at work, luckily they didn't say how we have to wear it. Otherwise I dont wear one and im in the high risk group.

CDC published a technical review of masks this May 2020, and the bottom line is they are not effective.
There are numerous published technical papers stating that masks do not work, and no peer reviewed papers that say they are effective.
I guess they are like a teddy bear, and people cling to them out of fear.

Initially, no one knew WTF they were talking about because there wasn't enough information. So it probably started as a better safe than sorry suggestion. Once the Left saw Trump not wearing one, all information was moot and anyone not wearing one was basically committing manslaughter, spreading death everywhere, preferentially killing innocent children, women, and black people.

I believe the science that shows a good mask traps airborne droplets that are most likely to contain any virus. I'd be thinking about whether or not you can trust your doctor on other matters.

The mask prevent the bacterial contamination of a sterile field in the OR.

Very specific masks must be used for instance with TB which is a very small droplet spread disease. None of the masks available to the public would prevent catching TB. Comparing Corona virus to TB is like comparing a very small pinhead to a hot dog. Do the math stupid. It requires an electron microscope to get a blurry image of the Corona but the TB bacteria can be seen with a regular light microscope.

Your husband makes you wear a mask so he doesn't have to look at your face. He might be gay but he ain't stupid........

People in authority don't want to be seen as doing nothing so they mandate masks. In MinN you have to wear them in businesses and when I go into work. I started using a beard cover.
