I am looking into possibly purchasing a Christensen Mesa in 7mm Rem Mag. By looking at the website, it appears the Mesa has a 24" barrel while their Ridgeline model has a 26", and I believe these figures include the muzzle brake in the barrel length. I am wondering with a 24", to include the muzzle brake, what kind of velocity can be expected. Since the brake is included in the barrel length, will the velocities possibly come up a little short compared to a full 24" barrel without a brake? Or would it possibly be about as relevant as the difference from one barrel compared to another, some a little faster and some a little slower?

Not a 7mm mg but a 6.5 prc, both 24" barrel. From action face to end of brake is 24.5". Action face to end of threads is 23.5".

If they are measuring to the end of the brake, they are not doing it right.

Ok, I was thinking the stated barrel length included the brake. Thanks for the information!
